Four services, all fitted by our own crew. Prices below are the fixed rates we have held since July and include mesh, fixings, scaffolding for single and double storey, rubbish removal and GST.

Gutter & valley ember mesh
The core of the work. A continuous run of 1.8 mm aperture aluminium mesh is saddled over the gutter and tucked beneath the first course of tiles or under the sheet edge, so the roof face sheds bark and leaf straight to the ground. Valleys are screened separately with folded returns so storm water still runs free.

Roof cavity & eave sealing
Mesh at the gutter alone is not enough. We screen every remaining opening into the roof space: ridge and hip cap ends, barge boards, tile ends, eave and soffit vents, whirlybird throats, gable vents and weepholes. Each opening is measured and fitted individually — this is the part other installers skip.

Pre-season inspection & service
Booked between September and November, before the fire danger period begins. We clear the gutters and valleys, re-tension clips, replace any fixing showing corrosion, flush the downpipes and leave a two-page condition report you can hand to a certifier or keep with your bushfire survival plan.

Gutter replacement with integrated mesh
Where gutters are rusted, sagging or the wrong profile for a bushland block, replacing and meshing in one visit costs far less than two. New Colorbond gutter, brackets and downpipes are fitted with the ember mesh built into the line from the start.

Choosing a mesh
Two materials, one honest answer.
Plastic & fibreglass guard
- Distorts and drips at temperatures a passing ember reaches
- Often clipped on, so wind lifts it away from the gutter lip
- Brittle after four or five Sydney summers of UV
- Not accepted as ember protection in bushfire-prone zones
- Cheaper per metre, replaced twice as often
Emberline aluminium mesh
- Non-combustible alloy that holds its shape under radiant heat
- Mechanically fixed with stainless saddles every 300 mm
- 1.8 mm aperture as referenced in AS 3959 for embers
- Powder-coated finish matched to gutter or roof colour
- Ten-year workmanship warranty in writing
Common questions
Before you book.
Do you work outside Sydney?
We stay within roughly ninety minutes of the workshop: the Hills District, Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai, the Northern Beaches, the lower Blue Mountains foothills, Sutherland Shire and the Royal National Park fringe. If you are further out we will happily recommend a crew we trust.
Will mesh stop my gutters overflowing in a storm?
Fitted correctly it improves flow, because debris sheds off the mesh instead of packing into the gutter. We set the mesh on a slight fall and fit ember baskets that can be lifted out for cleaning.
Can you work with solar panels already installed?
Yes. We mesh around panel rails and fit critter-and-ember guard to the perimeter of the array, which also keeps possums and birds out from under the panels.
How long does a typical job take?
Most single-storey homes are finished in one day, double-storey or complex rooflines in two. We start at 6:30 am in summer and are off the roof before the afternoon heat.
Do I need a BAL assessment first?
Not for maintenance work on an existing home. If you are renovating or rebuilding, your BAL rating drives the specification and we will work directly from your assessment report.
Summer does not negotiate.
