1. Who we are

Emberline Mesh & Gutter (ABN 41 882 113 604) installs bushfire ember mesh to roofs and gutters for homeowners in Greater Sydney. Our registered address is Bent Street 1, 2021 Sydney, NSW. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Emberline Mesh & Gutter.

2. What personal information we collect

• Contact details — your name, email address, telephone number and the address of the property to be surveyed.
• Property details — roof type, gutter length, storeys, tree cover, BAL rating and measurements recorded during a survey.
• Enquiry content — the notes you send us through the website form, by email, by SMS or over the phone.
• Transaction records — quotes, invoices, payment references and warranty registrations. We do not store full card numbers; card payments are processed by our payment provider.
• Technical information — basic, non-identifying server log data such as browser type and the pages requested.

3. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you complete the quote form, call or email us, accept a quote, or when our crew attends your property. Occasionally we receive your details from a builder, certifier, strata manager or a neighbour who has referred you. If someone else gives us your details, we will tell you at first contact.

4. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a roofline survey.
• To prepare quotes, gap registers, compliance summaries and invoices.
• To carry out the installation and warranty work, and to order materials cut to your measurements.
• To send your annual pre-season inspection reminder (you can opt out at any time).
• To meet our record-keeping, work-health-and-safety and taxation obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Who we may disclose it to

We may share limited information with: our mesh and gutter suppliers (measurements and delivery address only); our accountant and bookkeeper; our payment and email service providers; an insurer, certifier or council where you ask us to supply compliance documentation; and law enforcement or regulators where we are required by law. Where a provider stores data outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protections apply.

6. Storage and security

Job records are held in a password-protected job management system with two-factor authentication, and paper survey notes are kept in a locked cabinet at the Bent Street workshop. Access is limited to crew members who need it. We keep client records for seven years to honour warranties and satisfy taxation requirements, after which they are securely destroyed or de-identified.

7. Cookies and this website

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no third-party analytics scripts. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address as part of delivering the font files. You can block third-party font loading in your browser without breaking the site.

8. Direct marketing

If you become a client we may occasionally email you about pre-season inspection windows or a change to the standards that affect your mesh. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by phoning 351961776469.

9. Access, correction and complaints

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing privacy@embermesh.online or writing to Bent Street 1, 2021 Sydney. We respond within 30 days and do not charge for reasonable requests. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first — we will investigate and reply in writing. We review this policy each year and whenever our systems change. The current version is always published on this page with the date it took effect.
